Sr Francisca's final vows

On February 8 in Brazil, at the parish church of San Francisco Xavier de Fortaleza, Sr. Francisca said “Yes” forever to follow Christ in the Congregation of Our Lady of the Retreat.

Entrance procession, Francisca enters, surrounded by her aunt Dona Cazuza and her niece Erica.

Sr. Helena gives a word of welcome.

This is Fr. Tabosa, Francisca’s cousin, who presided the celebration.

And who blessed the ring presented to him by Francisca’s aunt. The ring is a sign of Francisca’s consecration to God.

Next to the portrait od St. Thérèse Couderc, founder of the Cenacle, Sr. Neunazir sings the psalm of meditation.

Francisca meditates for a moment before pronouncing the commitment formula.

“Father, in response to the call of your Son Jesus and entrusting myself to the power of your Spirit, I surrender myself to you without reserve for the service of the Church. . . and of the world.”

A beautiful festive cake made by two cousins of Sr. Francisca, Fátima and Kathia, decorated with an image of Our Lady of the Cenacle and of Thérèse Couderc, accompanied by the phrase “Let yourself be molded.”, expressed in a tone of joy. . . That in everything, even while tasting pastry Sr. Francisca has chosen the path of holiness.

Have a good journey, Francisca! Jesus goes ahead of you wherever you go!
